諸葛菜（ショカツサイ）はオオアラセイトウ（大紫羅欄花、学名: Orychophragmus violaceus）の別名でアブラナ科オオアラセイトウ属の越年草。 諸葛菜の「諸葛」は諸葛孔明からきていて、孔明が陣を張ったときに真っ先にこの花の種を播いたという伝説があります。
紫花菜（ムラサキハナナ）、花大根（ハナダイコン）とも呼ばれています。
中国名は诸葛菜 zhu ge cai。
東京などでも春先に普通に見られますが、普段は見過ごされてしまいがちなこの野花を足を止めて探してみてはいかがでしょうか。

Zhuge choy is another name for Orychophragmus violaceus (Scientific name: Orychophragmus violaceus), and it is a biennial plant of the genus Orychophragmus in the family Brassicaceae. Zhuge Cai's "Zhuge" comes from Zhuge Liang, and there is a legend that when Kong Ming set up camp, he was the first to sow the seeds of this flower.
It is also called purple flower mustard (purple flower mustard) and flower radish (white radish).
The Chinese name is Zhu Ge Cai.
