ネコヤナギ主に川辺に自生する野の花で日本中でみられます。
花は花びらがなく、たくさんの小さな花弁が房状に集まって花穂を形成し細かい綿毛に包まれています。
雄花、雌花にわかれ、雄花は花弁が赤く銀白色の綿毛が赤みがかるのが特徴です。

Pussy willow is a wild flower that grows naturally along river banks and can be found throughout Japan. The flowers have no petals and are made up of many small petals clustered together to form a spike, which is wrapped in fine fluff. It is divided into male and female flowers, and the male flowers are characterized by red petals and silvery-white downy hairs that turn reddish.
