八重桜 やえざくら Double cherry-blossoms
ヤエザクラ 35cm x 50cm
八重桜はソメイヨシノにやや遅れて咲き始めます。葉桜から始まるためにはじめはもう散ってしまった桜木のように見えますが、一旦花が咲き始めると八重咲きの花がふんわりと連なって牡丹のようにたくさんの花をつけます。このことから牡丹桜（ボタンザクラ）との別名でも呼ばれます。

Double cherry blossoms begin to bloom a little later than Someiyoshino cherry blossoms. At first it looks like a fallen cherry tree because it starts with leaf cherry blossoms, but once the flowers start blooming, the double flowers bloom in a soft row and produce many flowers like peonies. For this reason, it is also called peony cherry blossom.
