ツユクサは、ツユクサ科ツユクサ属の一年生植物。日本及び東アジア原産の野草で、道端やあぜ道など多くの場所で見つけることができます。鮮やかな青色と黄色の対比が美しい小さな花は朝に咲きいて、昼にはしぼむことから、英語ではdayflowerといいます。

Tsuyukusa (dew grass) is an annual plant of the genus Asiatica in the family Amaliaceae. A wildflower native to Japan and East Asia, it can be found in many places such as roadsides and footpaths. The small flowers with a beautiful contrast between bright blue and yellow bloom in the morning and wither in the afternoon, hence the name "dayflower" in English.
