茅野（長野県）の読み方は「ちの」、人名だと「かやの」と読む場合もありややこしい。もともとはカヤ（茅、萱）の生えている野というのが名前の由来なのでちょっと面倒。
八ヶ岳、白樺湖、蓼科高原などを抱える観光地。
蓼はタデ類の総称で食用にされるものも多い。作品の蓼はイヌタデ、オオイヌタデと思われます。

Chino (Nagano Prefecture) in Chinese characters is read as ``Chino'', but the name of a person is sometimes read as ``Kayano'', which is confusing. The name originally comes from the field where grass "Kaya" grows. A tourist destination that includes Mt. Yatsugatake, Lake Shirakaba, and Tateshina Highlands. Polygonum is a general term for polygonum, and many of them are edible. The grass in the work is thought to be a Japanese knotweed, Inutade or Ooinutade.
